Term for the
curved margin of the cerebral hemisphere at the junction of the
superolateral
and medial surfaces. Its blood flow is supplied by the anterior
cerebral
artery. The
so called
“parasagittal cortical syndrome”, as caused by meningeoma, thrombosis
of the
superior sagittal sinus or ischemia in the territory of the ACA, is
characterized by a spastic paraparesis, bladder dysfunction and a
frontal lobe syndrome. |
